Our investment process is structured around clear sustainability checkpoints at every stage. Each checkpoint deepens our understanding of environmental and social risks, and embeds requirements that carry through into active management.

Investing with purpose

Our investment process is built around clear sustainability checkpoints. Before committing to any new opportunity, we apply an exclusions list, assess positive alignment with the UN SDGs and screen potential partners using World-Check and Orbis. These early-stage screens ensure that every investment we consider is one we can stand behind - ethically, environmentally and socially.

From due diligence to financial close

As investments progress through development and closing, we deepen due diligence, create a formal risk and opportunity register and establish the sustainability requirements and metrics that will carry through into active management and reporting. Our Sustainability and Responsible Investment Policy provides the framework that guides our teams at every stage of this process.

Active management throughout the concession

During operations, at least one Invesis Delivery team member sits on the board of every portfolio company - keeping sustainability on the agenda at the asset level. We proactively engage with management teams, clients and partners to improve environmental and social performance, working collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvement across the full concession period.

Understanding what matters most

In 2024 we worked with KPMG to conduct a comprehensive Double Materiality Assessment, evaluating over 120 environmental, social and governance topics to identify the 11 most material to Invesis. These topics now anchor our sustainability strategy, our reporting commitments and the KPIs we will develop and track in the years ahead.
