Invesis has a clear and well-defined infrastructure investment strategy - one that gives our clients, partners and counterparts confidence about where we focus, what we look for and how we make decisions.

What we invest in

Invesis targets greenfield PPP infrastructure and similar long-term opportunities across a broad range of public sectors. Our preference is for investments where revenues are primarily availability-based, counterparties are central or local government authorities and concession terms run for at least 20 years post-construction. Our core sectors span the full breadth of public infrastructure - roads, rail, tunnels and bridges, maritime infrastructure, hospitals, schools and universities, courts, government buildings, prisons and social and affordable housing. We are also actively developing our capability in adjacent sectors where our PPP expertise adds real value, including water infrastructure, defence accommodation, building and infrastructure decarbonisation and electricity transmission and distribution.

Where we invest

Our home markets are the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Australia - markets where we have invested, built lasting relationships and established a strong track record of delivery.

Invesis is now actively expanding its international reach. We are currently pursuing entry into New Zealand, Austria and the Czech Republic, and are exploring opportunities in Italy, Greece and France. Our approach to new markets is disciplined and evidence-based - we apply rigorous country and market analysis before committing resource, and we move only when we have confidence in the regulatory framework, a meaningful PPP pipeline and the right partners on the ground.

Every investment is assessed through a structured, multi-stage process - evaluating risks and opportunities, screening partners and establishing sustainability requirements before any bid is committed. We work in close partnership with governments and public sector clients to understand their needs, bring the right consortium together and structure investments for long-term success. We are backed by PGGM - one of Europe’s most respected pension fund service providers - giving us access to stable, long-term capital and the confidence to make commitments that match the scale and ambition of the projects we pursue. Every investment we make is assessed for alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and must contribute to our mission: transforming lives through sustainable infrastructure. We actively support the transition to net zero, embedding decarbonisation and sustainability objectives into every investment we make. Invesis takes a selective and measured approach to growth - balancing expansion into new markets with prudent portfolio management and long-term value creation.
