Partnering with Transport Infrastructure Ireland to improve safety and connectivity across County Wexford
The N11 national primary route through County Wexford had long been a source of significant congestion and road safety concerns, with heavy traffic passing through Ferns, Camolin and Enniscorthy causing delays and posing risks for communities along the route.
In 2015, Transport Infrastructure Ireland selected the Invesis and Iridium joint venture (50/50) under a 25-year PPP contract. BAM Civil and Dragados delivered construction, with the route opening in November 2019. The scheme bypasses all three towns, improving safety by providing a higher-standard road and easing congestion across the region.
The project has greatly improved conditions for local communities by removing through traffic from town centres and providing a faster, safer link on the national primary network. The concession runs until July 2044.
