The Invesis story

Established in the 1990s as HBG PFI Projects, Invesis won some of the very first Private Finance Initiatives in the UK. As the business expanded and ownership changed it evolved into BAM PPP and grew its portfolio across sectors including education, healthcare, justice and transport infrastructure. By the early 2000s, we had expanded internationally, delivering projects across Europe. A major milestone came in 2011, when we joined forces with pension fund administrator PGGM. This partnership strengthened our long-term investment capability and supported growth in developing European markets, and in 2019 we secured our first investment in Australia. Today, we are fully owned by PGGM and continue to focus on long-term responsible infrastructure investment. This new ownership led to a rebrand to Invesis in 2022.

An infrastructure investment track record built over decades

For over 25 years, Invesis has built a diverse international portfolio of public-private partnerships and infrastructure investment projects. Our history reflects consistent long-term growth across markets and sectors, supported by disciplined investment, collaborative delivery and active asset management. From early UK PFI projects to major transport infrastructure developments in Europe and Australasia, Invesis has continued to evolve alongside the changing infrastructure market. The business has also developed significant operational experience, including managing assets through their full lifecycle and supporting multiple successful project handbacks.

Our lasting legacy

Today, Invesis is backed by PGGM - a not-for-profit pension service provider whose purpose is to deliver sustainable, long-term returns that support the retirement security of healthcare and social care workers. This long-term approach strengthens Invesis’ commitment to investing in infrastructure that delivers enduring social and economic value.
