Irish Schools PPP Programme – Bundle 3

Supporting the Department of Education and NDFA to replace outdated school facilities from Donegal to Waterford

Ireland's Department of Education and the National Development Finance Agency commissioned the third bundle of the national Schools PPP Programme to address school place shortfalls and replace outdated facilities across seven communities.

In 2012, Invesis was appointed as sole investor under a 25-year DBFM contract. BAM Building delivered all construction and BAM FM Ireland provides facilities management services. The eight schools - including post-primary schools in Athlone, Doon, Doughiska, Letterkenny, Ballinamore, Gorey and Tramore, and a primary school in Doughiska - opened in phases between November 2013 and April 2014. Several arose from amalgamations of existing schools, bringing communities together in new, purpose-built facilities. Concessions run for 25 years from each school's opening date, with handback phased between November 2038 and May 2039.

From amalgamated schools to brand new campuses - modern facilities for communities across Ireland's west, midlands and south-east.
