Work experience

Ed, an Investment Director at Invesis, specialises in identifying and growing investment opportunities in the energy sector. His role involves evaluating various investment options, ranging from traditional renewables like Bioenergy, Wind and Solar to Energy Storage, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and District Heating.

With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Ed has successfully taken numerous energy projects from concept to operational status both in both the UK and Northern Europe. Notably, he was instrumental in the financial close of the £2.6 billion Greater Manchester Waste PFI in 2009.

Prior to his focus on energy investments, Ed began his career as a project quantity surveyor, providing commercial management for major infrastructure projects, such as motorways, tunnels, rail and nuclear facilities. He then transitioned into project leadership roles and has been exclusively involved in Project Finance since 2001. Over the years he has worked on numerous Private-Public Partnership (PPP) projects worldwide, as well as energy and digital projects since 2011.

Ed played a significant role in leading our acquisition of Asanti Data Centres, demonstrating his proficiency in digital investments. He is still working with the Asanti Team to develop their investment plan for future business development growth.

Ed is a skilled and confident individual who excels in collaborating with his colleagues and clients to build and maintain trusting relationships. He actively engages in the process and leads project teams in addition to having strong competencies in business development, structured finance, contract management and risk management. Ed is a forward- thinking individual who finds creative ways to solve problems. He firmly believes that problems are simply opportunities waiting to be resolved.
