Work experience

As an infrastructure professional with a strong commitment to excellence, Bill has extensive experience of directing large multi-disciplinary projects through Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).

Bill joined our business in 1997 and is a Director on both our UK and Ireland Boards of Management.

He heads our origination team as the Business Development Director, concentrating on identifying investment opportunities and developing them until contract signing in our Core sectors, for PPP, and our Core + investment sectors throughout the UK & Ireland.

He has successfully tendered for over 30 PPP projects ranging from €10 million to €2.4 billion across various sectors such as Justice, Healthcare, Education and Transport Infrastructure, winning XXm+ of capital spend.

Notably, Bill led our inaugural digital investment into a data centre platform. He also played a key role in securing our first investment in Australia for the €2.4 billion Brisbane Cross River Rail project. Other significant projects with his involvement include the £1 billion Silvertown Tunnel in London, the €150 million Courts Bundle PPP project in Ireland and the €61 million Schools Bundle 4 PPP in Ireland.

Bill is responsible for identifying and deciding on strategic partnerships, building successful consortia, gaining approval for investment opportunities, nurturing client relationships and leading open commercial negotiations. He is dedicated to fostering partnerships that drive positive social and environmental change for the public sector and the local communities – a commitment valued by both clients and supply chain partners and crucial for project success.

Bill has a BSc (with distinction) in Quantity Surveying and is a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
