Invesis colleagues inspire a young mind through work experience

Invesis welcomed Scottish 2nd year high school student Blair to our office last week as part of Developing the Young Workforce’s work experience programme. Blair worked with several members of staff from different departments throughout the week, learning about the business, our culture and what it is like working in an office environment.

Blair’s week was jam-packed with various interesting activities. His schedule was conscientiously created by our UK corporate social responsibility team , who worked with our colleagues to ensure that Blair had a worthwhile experience and most importantly, had fun.

His week kicked-off with a visit to one of our concession’s, Williamwood High School which is part of our East Renfrewshire Schools project, where Blair was given a tour of the school by two of our operations experts and the school’s BAM FM manager, who informed him about the role each party plays in managing the concession.

Blair then worked with our Glasgow Office Manager, our Head of Legal Services and our Marketing and Communications Specialist, who spent some time explaining what they do and their role within the business. As the week progressed, Blair carried out some tasks and met with colleagues from Operational Finance, Project Finance and our Business Development team.

At the end of the week, he joined our colleagues for their monthly pay day breakfast then visited the premises of Simon’s Community, our UK&I charity partner, who work tirelessly to battle homelessness.

At Invesis, we are committed to transforming lives. From investing and developing in key infrastructure, to engaging with young people and local communities, our people care deeply and strive to make a real positive difference to people’s lives through the inspiring work they do.
