Invesis Achieves Major Milestone for Bundle 2 of Ireland’s Higher Education PPP Programme

Invesis is pleased to announce that it has reached Financial Close for the Higher Education Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Programme Bundle 2 in Ireland. This prestigious project will see Invesis taking a leading role in advancing Ireland’s educational infrastructure by investing 100% of the equity required for the initiative.

This Project, delivered under the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science PPP programme, represents a significant milestone in the development of modern, state-of-the-art educational facilities across Ireland. It involves the design, build, finance, maintenance, and operation of nearly 35,000m² of accommodation, encompassing five major facilities across three leading technological universities:

  • South East Technological University (SETU) Waterford: Engineering, computing, and general teaching block.
  • Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Moylish, Limerick: Applied science and IT facilities.
  • Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal, Letterkenny: Library, IT, and general teaching facilities.
  • Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Galway: Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) block.
  • South East Technological University (SETU) Carlow: Health science facility.

This ambitious project underscores Invesis’ commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable infrastructure that supports the educational needs of Ireland’s future generations. The facilities will provide progressive and enhanced learning environments that aim to foster a sense of well-being for their users and provide accommodation conducive to good learning environments.

Mila Lopez Simon, Managing Director – UK and Ireland at Invesis, commented on the achievement:

« We are incredibly honoured to have reached Financial Close for this transformative project. The strong commitment from all parties has brought this exciting project through development to now being able to start work on the sites, and reaffirms our dedication to creating sustainable, cutting-edge educational environments that empower students and communities across Ireland. Through our unwavering commitment to excellence, we look forward to delivering facilities that will inspire innovation and learning for generations to come. »

This marks Invesis’ ninth PPP in Ireland, following our Courts PPP, two School Bundle projects and five road projects. We are proud to continue our partnership with the Irish government in developing essential public infrastructure and contributing to the country’s long-term socio-economic growth.

As we move forward with this project, Invesis is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of design, construction, and operation, delivering lasting value to Ireland’s educational sector.
