Job description

Day to day provision of the services required under the Management Services Agreements to ensure the efficient operation of several SPVs, whilst ensuring that their interests are protected, including management of the SPV’s responsibilities, the delivery of services and liaison with and between the Client, Users, Facilities Management Contractor, SPV, Lenders, etc., and the efficient resolution of project matters.

This role involves a number of projects in England including the Midlands, London, South and South West.

Who are we looking for?

  • Ensure compliance with the Invesis and SPV Health & Safety Policies. Monitor health and safety management through inspections and audits. Set a good example to all project stakeholders.
  • Strategic planning of the SPV’s responsibilities, resources and activities and leadership of the SPV management team.
  • Responsibility for provision of day to day MSA services to ensure that the interests of the SPV are protected.
  • Key areas of oversight will include the management of the service providers (including the performance regime and payment mechanism), commercial matters, lifecycle management, defects management, management of changes/variations and preparations for hand back.
  • Compliance with all relevant project documents.
  • Resolution of all matters arising.
  • Change Management including High Value Changes.
  • Monitor and review the provision of operational services through inspections and audits and consideration of performance reports. This includes soft and hard services, helpdesk, KPIs, lifecycle works, change management, benchmarking/ market testing, etc.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders (client, end users, shareholders, lenders, service providers, contractors, advisers ) and manage the interfaces between them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal and external management reports, and present these at board meetings where required. Ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly project performance reports.
  • Manage and document the project change procedures, including the development, agreement and implementation of required changes to agreed programmes. This will include Small, Medium and High Value changes. Ensure that unitary charges and services fees are updated to include completed changes.
  • Working with legal and financial colleagues identify and resolve commercial issues to the satisfaction of the relevant parties. This may involve negotiating a range of commercial and legal arrangements ensuring that at all time the SPV and the investors are kept informed of the progress of negotiations and that the investment is protected.
  • Prepare a risk register for each project, which is regularly reviewed and reported to the SPV board and other parties as required.  Identify key risks and prepare mitigation plans to remedy or reduce the impact should that risk materialise.  Regularly review the efficacy of the mitigation plans and take steps to ensure that mitigation measures have been properly implemented.

What are we looking for ?

  • Degree educated ideally in a relevant field or with a relevant professional qualification or membership.
  • Evidence of a commitment to personal development and learning.
  • Experience of PPP projects at an appropriate level for at least 5 years
  • Commercial acumen combined with effective negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Detailed knowledge of PPP contracts and of key contractual considerations from the perspective of construction (EPC) and operational (MTC) colleagues

  • Ability to present information in a concise and engaging way in email, letter, report and presentation formats
  • Fluent in English
