Does this sound like you?

  • At least 10 years of legal experience, with a combination of a reputable law firm and in-house legal counsel work.
  • Solid knowledge of corporate and contract law, ideally with broad experience in M&A, governance, and compliance.
  • Strong legal judgement and pragmatism, capable of balancing detail with strategic oversight.
  • A self-starter who thrives in an international, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communicator in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Located in the Netherlands, available ideally Tuesday to Thursday.

As our Corporate Counsel, you will be a key legal partner supporting our strategic operations, governance, compliance and contract management. Impact Across Borders
You will support a range of legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with colleagues in Finance, HR, Insurance, Origination and our UK-based Company Secretary. Your legal advice will directly influence Invesis’ growth, compliance and governance.

Autonomy and Flexibility
This position offers the unique opportunity to be engaged in very interesting, complex and high-level legal work while working on a part-time basis (3 days/week), giving you the space to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What you will be doing

Legal Advisory and Governance

  • Support M&A transactions, entity transfers, and other corporate structuring matters.
  • Draft, review and manage a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
  • Act as legal gatekeeper for DocuSign authorisations for the Management Board.
  • Lead the maintenance and development of internal policies and procedures.
  • Advise on governance topics for the business and the Management Board.

Compliance & Risk

  • Lead and support compliance procedures such as UBO and KYC, and address broader compliance requests.
  • Serve as Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and internal data policies.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and ensure legal compliance in all jurisdictions where Invesis operates.

Corporate Housekeeping

  • Maintain and update the legal entity structure, including set-up and liquidation of entities within the group.
  • Work closely with the Company Secretary in the UK to ensure efficient and consistent corporate housekeeping.

Cross-Functional Legal Support

  • Provide ongoing legal support to other Corporate Functions including the Finance, HR, and Insurance teams.
  • Utilize and manage tools such as DocuSign, Diligent, World-Check, Chamber of Commerce Register and internal knowledge repositories.

People Management

  • You have the responsibility to collaborate with, manage and develop one direct report who is located in Glasgow, UK.
