Job description
As an Account assistant you will be responsible for the day to day financial management of several Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, both UK & Irish projects. You will also work closely with the management accountant for each project.
Who are we looking for?
- Accounts experience is essential.
- Accountancy qualification, or working towards qualification, such as AAT preferable but not essential.
- Irish tax and VAT experience would be most advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of SAP would be most advantageous but not essential.
- Excel knowledge essential.
- Proactive and pragmatic.
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Administrative skills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for raising all sales invoices for each project and booking accurately onto
SAP-system. - Responsible for processing all purchase invoices for each project and booking accurately onto SAP-system.
- Preparation of the monthly / quarterly VAT returns and CIS/RCT returns and submission to Revenue
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts in each project.
- Calculation of interest charges on loans, as well as calculation of agency & commitment fees due to bank
- Day to day contact with Management Account as well as regular liaising with Operations Manager for each project.
- Liaising and assisting the auditors, providing information as necessary at year end.
- Responsible for raising all sales invoices for each project and booking accurately onto
SAP-system. - Monitoring daily communications and answering queries.
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
