Are you a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a passion for finance and administration? We are recruiting a motivated Account Assistant to join our team and contribute to a smooth and efficient financial operation within our company.

Job description

As an Account assistant you will be responsible for the day to day financial management of several Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, both UK & Irish projects. You will also work closely with the management accountant for each project.

Who are we looking for?

  • Accounts experience is essential.
  • Accountancy qualification, or working towards qualification, such as AAT preferable but not essential.
  • Irish tax and VAT experience would be most advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be most advantageous but not essential.
  • Excel knowledge essential.
  • Proactive and pragmatic.
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Administrative skills.

Role & Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for raising all sales invoices for each project and booking accurately onto
  • Responsible for processing all purchase invoices for each project and booking accurately onto SAP-system.
  • Preparation of the monthly / quarterly VAT returns and CIS/RCT returns and submission to Revenue
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts in each project.
  • Calculation of interest charges on loans, as well as calculation of agency & commitment fees due to bank
  • Day to day contact with Management Account as well as regular liaising with Operations Manager for each project.
  • Liaising and assisting the auditors, providing information as necessary at year end.
  • Responsible for raising all sales invoices for each project and booking accurately onto
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering queries.
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
