A world-class achievement: Swiss Cottage School shortlisted for World's Best School Prize
Swiss Cottage School, Development and Research Centre, part of Invesis' long-standing Camden Building Schools for the Future (BSF) partnership, has been shortlisted for the World's Best School Prize 2026 in the Community Collaboration category.
Founded by T4 Education, the World's Best School Prizes are among the world's most prestigious education awards, recognising schools that are transforming lives both within and beyond the classroom. Schools from more than 165 countries participate each year.
Swiss Cottage School is one of only ten schools worldwide shortlisted in the Community Collaboration category and the only UK special school to be recognised.
The school has been shortlisted for its outstanding collaborative approach, bringing together families, healthcare providers, education partners, universities, community organisations and local services to improve outcomes for children and young people with profound and complex learning needs. Its integrated model enables pupils to benefit from personalised learning alongside access to therapy, healthcare and community opportunities, creating a holistic approach to education.
The recognition also reflects the wider impact of the school's work, sharing expertise nationally and internationally to help advance inclusive education and improve opportunities for children with additional needs.
The Camden BSF project is a long-term public-private partnership between Invesis and the London Borough of Camden, procured under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). Since becoming operational in 2012, the partnership has delivered and continues to support high-quality learning environments at Swiss Cottage School and UCL Academy through long-term facilities management, alongside the delivery of Regent High School through the Local Education Partnership.
Throughout the partnership, Invesis has remained committed to supporting excellent facilities and continuous service improvement, helping to create environments where pupils, staff and the wider school community can thrive.
